New Buddying and Befriending Scheme
Brightlife is delighted to announce an invitation to tender for delivery of a £75,000 scheme to provide volunteer buddies and befrienders for our Social Prescribing clients.
Brightlife’s Social Prescribing service works with individuals aged over 50 who are experiencing isolation and/or loneliness. Working closely with our Social Prescribing Coordinators in Chester, Winsford and Malpas, this scheme will provide an important means of reconnecting these people with their communities.
The new service will recruit, train and supervise volunteer buddies as well as match suitable buddies and befrienders to Social Prescribing clients to support them in re-connecting them with their community. The long-term hope is that these relationships will become self-sustaining whilst also benefiting from an additional level of support through regular social gatherings for both clients and volunteers to enjoy.
A specification for the contract can be found here, along with a Pre-Qualifying Questionnaire (PQQ) and Tender Response Form. The PQQ must be received by Brightlife at least two weeks before the tender period closes.
Please send you completed PQQ and Tender Response Form to Mandy Roberts, Contracts and Commissioning Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org
Support for tendering organisations is available throughout the tender period from Chester Voluntary Action (CVA). Please contact Joanne Stanton on 01244 401272 or email@example.com
