New Horizons

Walking for Health Scheme

Walking is the closest thing to perfect exercise – it’s a free, sociable, easy activity. The Malpas Walking for Health Scheme offers a simple, local and free way to get more active. The Scheme is supported and accredited by the Ramblers and Macmillan Cancer Support. These organisations have a great deal of health expertise and aim to help people discover the joys and health benefits of walking.

The Malpas Longer Walks usually take us outside the village and into the countryside and last for about one to one and a half hours.

The Malpas Shorter Walks usually take us on routes around the village and last for about half to three quarters of an hour with the option to do a shorter route depending upon the individual abilities and finish with refreshments at the High Street Church.
