Fun and flexible fitness

Thursdays from 8th Sept (3-4pm) these classes are aimed towards the over 50 age group. Music & simple choreographed movements are used to help with mobility & co-ordination as well as general fitness, and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed.

The easy-paced classes incorporate a gentle warm-up phase, followed by some stretching and moves to help with posture. This is followed by low-impact movement to music using a variety of music, including pop, classical, contemporary and golden oldies!
Part of each session involves muscle strengthening exercises, with the option of using light weights to add resistance. Movements to help with joint mobility and coordination are also incorporated into the class. We finish with a cool-down, and more gentle stretches.
The classes are suitable for anyone, whatever their fitness level.
